I was going thru my DVD collection the other night trying to decide what to watch - which by the way ended up to be Keeping The Faith (Shabat Shalom) - when a glanced over at Catch Me If You Can. Then decided against it - Sorry Steven. But as I've been thinking about it I actually can't wait to watch it. If you've got the 2 disc edition watch Spielberg's reaction to Christopher Walken speech where he cries...it's beautiful. Best actor for me in that film tho is Hanks...he just is phenomenal. Best bit was when he tells the guys the KNOCK KNOCK joke.
DiCaprio was good too don't get me wrong. All the scenarios make you wonder how amazing it would be to be Frank Abagnale Jnr and how on Earth was he not caught sooner. Lucky old Leo got to do it all in one movie. I loved all the cheques drying out in the hotel room floor with all the model planes in the bath getting wet to get the stickers for the cheques.
It's a great story and so colourful as well. Janusz pulled the rabbit out the hat again for Steven and again we salute you for it Janusz. I also love the credits (and the quirky music John) - if you watch the credits it's basically an animation of the whole film.....BRAVO!!!
Have you guys seen this film what are your comments?

65 Million Years Since My Last Post
Hey folks
Sorry for the delay, let's just say it's been a busy couple of months. Today I was reminded that I should be mentioning Jurassic Park. I don't know why I needed reminding, I saw it recently. Before I really got into movies in a big way Jurassic Park came out - I remember sitting in Higher History and my mate Muz said 'Have you seen Jurassic Park yet?' 'No' was my reply. 'You need to see it - it's scarier than Jaws!!!!!'.
First off I thought Jurassic Park was gonna be a kids movie and secondly Jaws scared the crap out of me as a kid, made me wet the bed, fear going swimming...anywhere and generally take a slight dislike to scary thriller movies. Anytime I heard the Jaws soundtrack I would be frozen to the chair or ground and a shiver would dart up and down my spine. So if JP is scarier than Jaws then 'NO THANK YOU MATE...I'LL LEAVE WELL ALONE'.
I didn't thank goodness. I watched it and enjoyed it. I found it so exciting as with most of Spielbergs movies. I didn't find it scary - well certainly not as scary as Jaws but it was incredibly exciting. I totally get the similarity at the beginning when the worker gets eaten...that's pretty awesome...but not terrifying.
Jeff Goldblum for me steals each scene he's in with his dry sense of humour and when the T-REX is chasing the car with him in the back...the fear in his face is the most convincing ever. I'm glad he was in the second JP.
HOW MUCH OF A GENIOUS IS SPIELBERG TO MAKE US TREMBLE AT THE SIGHT OF A RIPPLE IN A CUP OF WATER.....BRILLIANT!
Isn't it weird how unnoticed Samuel L Jackson is as the computer genious. Wayne Knight as the real computer genious out looking for an extra buck is fantastic...almost the same role he had in Toy Story 2...but his demise in JP was legendary.
I have to say there are a couple of things I don't like about both JP & JP THE LOST WORLD, the girl computer genious turning everything back on and the girl gymnast escaping by doing twirls on the bars.
When JP came out on video I got it for my Christmas and you'll never guess what the only trailer at the beginning of the film was......JAWS. I crapped it and then thought wait a minute - it's only a trailer. So I watched the trailer to Jaws and went out that afternoon and bought it...I've been hooked on Jaws ever since.
